About the Centre

History and Brief about Moi University Africa Multiple Research Centre (Moi-AMRC)

The Moi University Africa Multiple Research Centre (Moi–AMRC) is housed in the Moi University ICDC complex, with members drawn from School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) whose overriding objectives are to offer interdisciplinary teaching and research in the broad field of African studies and to act as the center where all other Africa–focused scholarship in Moi University coalesce.

The Centre Overview

The Moi University Africa Multiple Research Centre (Moi–AMRC) has members drawn from the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS). The objectives of the centre include offering interdisciplinary teaching and research in the field of African studies.

Leadership

The Moi University Africa Multiple Research Centre (Moi–AMRC) leadership is made up of Prof. Peter Tirop Simatei, a Professor of Comparative Literature (Director), and Prof. Tom M. Mboya, a Professor of African Literatures and Cultures (Academic Coordinator).
